Nation Building through Abacus Learning

My contribution as a teacher towards nation through Abacus & Vedic Maths  by Himani Sethi

After mother teacher plays an important role in every child’s life. So, according to me if the only person who brings the positive change in the nation is the only person ‘Teacher’.
Most of the time we see that many students take Maths as a phobia and loses their interest in it. But with the help of Abacus and Vedic Maths, we can reduce this problem and boost the students interest.

These two subjects are not only good for the students even these helps the teacher or the person who learn it. They improves the skills of a person. If the person has any skill and has mastery in it so, he/she can starts his/her own business by giving tuition etc. and earn bread for his own self and his family too. So, in this way he/she can support our nation’s economy.
Abacus is not a subject, it’s a play way method to learn calculations and mental maths which can helps a students to learn calculations and maths problems with play way activity and boost up his/her interest in studies and helps in mental growth of a child too.

So, if I want all these positive changes which are not only good for students even for that person who teach or learn too or if I want to contribute something positive or good thing to my nation, so it is only done through as a teacher of Abacus & Vedic Maths.

An old saying – “Each One, Teach One”.

Hello friends. Now a day Abacus and Vedic Maths in very easy way to calculate our sums then some students feel a fobiya maths.

Now a days Vedic Maths and Abacus uses the tool to solve arithmetic problems rapidly and accurately.

Hundred of centres teaching both the Abacus method and Vedic Maths have sprouted across the city to keep up with the demand of ambitious parent who want their children to have an edge over the others.

An Abacus or Vedic Maths class costs between of 500 and 3000 depending mostly on the location of the centre. Classes are held of a couple of hours every week and most most parents look at it as an investment for the long time.

My contribution as a teacher towards nation through Abacus & Vedic Maths – Ruchi Jain

This is a simple of shortcut than actual learning of maths. Analytical skills or a problem are much different than master the shortcut. They are become over confident in Maths.

I would say that is because he never practiced the short cuts method it takes a lot of practice to use more learning regularly and benefit from it in the long process.

I do Vedic Maths my self because I am a teacher I just like the subject and do lots of question in shortcut use method. My daughter is not interested in Vedic Maths but I was told her its very benifit for your studies. Then she after a few days she also doing shortcut key method. And she told me mom. Its very benefit for my studies I am very happy. She was studing in 7 standard.

If you can multiply 89x93 in 5 sec how does that make you dull and without analytical skill

My contribution as a teacher towards nation through Abacus & Vedic Maths – Jasmine

Teacher plays very important role in everyone’s life. There is a strong impact on students by their teachers. As small students try to follow their teacher in everyday i.e. the way she speaks, talk, they try to copy every single jester of their teacher. So I think every teacher contribute to nation as teachers thinking, mannerism is reflected in their students.

So, as a teacher I think my contribution towards nation is first of all to show them right path or to do good deeds. If they faced any problem or hurdle then to choose truth and right path.
I am Abacus and Vedic Math teacher so I help the students to do the calculation faster and with easier method. Through Abacus and Vedic Maths students become more confidence as it eradicate silly mistakes. They can do question in minimum time with maximum accuracy. I feel my Abacus & Vedic Maths students are much more confident and skillful then normal students. Abacus sharpens their memory as it is 3600 brain development programm. So we see vast change in students. They enjoy doing Abacus and Vedic Maths.

Later on they can choose Abacus and Vedic Maths as their career and earn money and become independent.

Similarly it help teacher as they can do business and get earning. Help their family as well and they become independent. It adds skill in them also.
So, students as well as teacher by becoming successful in their life and do good earning adds to nation. Our nation has good economy. At last it is contribution of teachers and I can say yes I also contributed as teacher if my students become successful in their life, become confident through abacus & vedic maths. So whatever they contribute is in someway teachers or my contribution to nation.

It is observed many workshops are held worldwide, and every school plans to attend or arrange for teachers workshops or principals workshops in the field of education to learn something new, to remain connected with new developments.
Every workshop has a defined topic, defined objective, it has break for networking, but have we ever observed and analyzed how effectively we utilize our time and learning from the workshops. How many a times we cascade the information to our peers. We at AVAS has brought workshops for the teachers of the school, under one roof celebrating National Maths Week, every year at I.I.T , Delhi.

The great resource persons with vast experience in their respective fields get connected under one  roof:

Every Thing About VEDIC MATHEMATICS

With Vedic mathematics we make children play with numbers and students are given to perform one SUM with so many tricks, this helps them trigger their brain, think innovative and thus helps create interest in playing with numbers, i.e. Math and removes phobia of Math.

The simplicity of Vedic Mathematics means that calculations can be carried out mentally. There are many advantages in using a flexible system. Children can reinvent their own methods, they are not restricted to do one method. This leads to more creativity, interest among children. Time and again Vedic Mathematics has proven itself to be the only way to make modern Math simpler and easier.

Vedic Math program is nothing related to concentration or brain development. Vedic Math is derived from our “Atharva Veda”.  There are 16 sutras on which whole Vedic math revolves , Vedic Math is being used from so many years at entrance level after 12th class , We had discussions with many eminent mathematicians that why Vedic Math is being used for benefit of students after 12 class when 70% of students drop Math after 10th class and remaining 30% students who opt for Math are already good in Math , so we have started the Vedic Math program in schools for students of 6th class to 9th class not to teach them Math but to remove the phobia of Math.

The difference between the children scoring good and average marks in Math is only phobia of math and not that the child does not know math; If the child of 6th class after doing Vedic Math says Yes!  Math is easy, then the child’s interest towards conventional math increases and it help in removing phobia of Math.

ABACUS : You Need to Know !

Many people believe and have said that abacus  deal with attaining proficiency in the calculations (procedural aspect of math) , this is the visual result and thus hype created  by people but the actual benefit and result of abacus is concentration improvement and brain development  through the concept of visualization.

Abacus is level based program which includes the basics of arithmetic such as
·         Addition (to begin with single digit then double digit then triple digit)
·         Subtraction
·         Multiplication
·         Division etc
However when we see the result in a child (visual) solving calculation of 5-10 rows of addition/subtraction or multiplication/division and giving the answer in 3-5 seconds without using any tool or pen paper we assume that abacus improves the calculation, and we tend to say that the child's calculation power  is improved but it's the wrong statement,  The right statement would be the child concentration has improved.

Now, how does this happen --- actually concentration will be improved only when we will use all our senses at one particular time and abacus is the only activity in which all our senses except  sense of taste and smell  are used while doing this course , hence the result is drastic.

By drastic we mean two things, First that the result of oral calculation is not only in 10-15 % children but in more than 75% children doing abacus course (proven fact can show the result in more than 15000 children of various schools).

Secondly the result of doing calculation orally means the concentration power has improved which will help in overall ability of child.

Abacus has been made a compulsory subject in primary schools in China and Japan. Research and analysis have shown great improvement and better mental ability in students of these countries due to increased concentration by learning Abacus since childhood under primary education.
